HERDI (Higher Education Research and Development Institute) Innovate is an opportunity for those companies with innovative technologies designed to support student success at the Community College level to get ahead of their competition by receiving input and advice from those that will be implementing and using the technology.  

 

Our mission is “To provide better products and services for students, faculty and staff of America’s Colleges by facilitating frank and critical dialogue between College leaders (Vice Presidents & Vice-Chancellors) and the business community that seeks to serve them.”

 

Members of HERDI Innovate will have the opportunity to spend 2 hours presenting and interacting with a panel of 5-7 HERDI Board members who are Community College Vice Presidents/Vice-Chancellors/CIOs. Some have compared the opportunity to “a Shark Tank” experience where you will share your company and products, discuss your goals and gain valuable insights from the decision makers themselves. You will receive feedback and advice on your products and services as far as what is working and what is not working, saving you valuable time and money in research and development.  This esteemed panel will be your key to unlocking the potential of your product or service in the Community College market.  Even though there is no guarantee, many panelists have agreed to run a pilot program in their school for further research and development, an opportunity that few companies get to experience.

 

Community Colleges are leading the way in the implementation of technology in higher education as they are known to have a more non-traditional group of students that have individual needs.
